I've written in the past about the pet insurance comparison tool for side by side, apples to apples comparisons of PurinaCare policies to those of other pet insurance providers. It's a great tool and can really help in planning and research on pet insurance. It can be really hard and sometimes confusing to make direct comparisons. Sometimes I think that might be the point, but not with PurinaCare. We invite and encourage comparison because we believe once you've done your homework the choice will be obvious. 

Well now, I'm happy to report that we've made the comparison tool even more useful and interactive.

The new pet insurance comparison tool allows you to taylor a policy based on your own needs. We provide a series of questions about the type of policy and features you might want and at the end provide a list of options.  Along side the list are all the major providers of pet insurance. As you go through and select features that are important to you you'll notice that the providers that don't offer all of these benefits will no longer be highlighted. That means that you can't get all these features combined in one policy from them.

It's still a good idea to use the side by side tool for more detail. For instance if you say yes to the first two features you'll notice that only two providers remain on the list. In this case that means that only these two provide both of these features in the same policy, but if full coverage for hereditary conditions is not important to you but Wellness and Preventive Care benefits are, you'll see that you have more options.

I've been fooling around with this pet insurance comparison tool for just a few hours this morning. It seems to be very helpful as a way to narrow down your options based on what is important to you. Once your choices are narrowed you can go to the more specific side by side comparisons between the remaining choices to get more detail.
