We Love Our Pets: But WHO Loves Them More: Men or Women?

A friend sent me this great article (it's a year old but it's still valuable information, and I don't think the Black-labrador-retriever overall information has changed that much) on how much women value their pets.

According to a survey done in the UK, "Most women - almost two thirds - would choose to insure their pets before their partners."

Now, I'm not sure what questions were asked to have women admit this out loud, but I do know that we ladies love our pets with great devotion. Much the same way we love our kids.

This article from a site called Buzzle - Intelligent Life on the Web, talks about how we all treat our pets like children. Hence, more people are turning to pet health insurance, the article says. To help secure a healthy, happy life for our pets.

Drew-Lachey-Purina-Dog-Chow The Buzzle site says, "Overall finding good pet insurance does not have to be difficult. Just remember to shop around using price comparison sites or find a specialist broker. But always read the small print." And we couldn't agree more. At PurinaCare, you will find answers to many, if not all, of your questions. We even have an 877# that you can call for more information.

In this MSNBC article, "73 percent of female pet owners report they are more likely to date or marry someone who also has a pet." And, "90 percent of women agree that their dog or cat has at least one endearing quality that they'd like to see in their significant other." Which means the ladies are definitely more likely to buy pet health insurance.

Somehow, I think there are a lot of men who see the benefit of providing pets a secure life of good health and welfare, too. I don't know if any surveys about how much THEY prefer their pets to their significant others have been done. But, I do see that they are a big part of sites like Animal Attraction and Catster and Dogster. So, the guys care, too. Right guys?
